The International Music Council (IMC) is planning the launch of a large-scale initiative in 2008. It aims to promote classical music composed between the 18th and 19th centuries among young audiences.
The IMC is an organization affiliated with UNESCO. As such, it has a global reach. It is launching an ideas competition among several multimedia designers to achieve the aforementioned goal.

The general concept must be linked to the following keywords:
– multimedia
– musical community
– classical music composed between the 18th and 19th centuries

This initiative is not time-limited.
It is not geographically defined.
Target audience: young people aged 15-25, socio-ethnicity not defined.

The concept

Contemporary artists are most likely to attract young people; they can convince young people that not only are they (young people) already familiar with classical music through all its uses in everyday life, but also that this same classical music is not incompatible with current musical styles and is worthy of greater interest.
